New Applied Mechanics Reviews Podcast Features Interview with Prof. Kenneth Liechti Applied Mechanics Reviews (AMR) has posted the most recent in its arrangement of more than 20 webcasts on the ASME Digital Collection site. The new web recording highlights a meeting with Prof. Kenneth Liechti of the University of Texas at Austin, whose dynamic interests incorporate crack mechanics with an attention on interfacial break and delamination mechanics. Kenneth Liechti A Fellow of ASME and the Zarrow Centennial Professor in Engineering at UT Austins Cockrell School of Engineering, Liechtis investigate focuses on distortion and disappointment systems in multilayered materials and structures utilizing exploratory and numerical pressure systematic strategies. An individual from the Cockrell School of Engineering workforce since 1982, he has distributed in excess of 100 articles and is the co-writer of the book Mechanics of Materials with Marc Bedford. He got the Society of Experimental Mechanics (SEM) William M. Murray Lecture Award in 2017 and the Adhesion Societys Award for Excellence in Adhesion Science in 2015. Liechti has served in various ASME positions including seat, bad habit seat and secretary of the ASME Applied Mechanics Division; seat of the Basic Engineering Technical Group; and seat of the Daniel C. Drucker Medal, Timoshenko Medal and Warner T. Koiter Medal Committees. The meeting was directed by Harry Dankowicz, the proofreader of Applied Mechanics Reviews and an ASME Fellow. Dr. Dankowicz is a teacher of mechanical science and building at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
